Auschwitz was a center of chemistry. The German chemical industry built gigantic factories for rubber and fuel. But that's not what we associate with the name "Auschwitz." We think of gas chambers and Zyklon B, two chemical things as well. How did the gas chambers of Auschwitz look like? How did they operate? And Zyklon B: what is it? How does it kill? Does it leave traces that can be found still today? These and other questions are thoroughly examined in this documentary. The horror of Auschwitz is meticulously dissected, and thus, for the first time, it really becomes comprehensible. This video documentary accompanies the book of the same title, which is Volume 2 of the series "Holocaust Handbooks," accessible at http://holocausthandbooks.com/index.php?page_id=2 This documentary is part...
European stocks are mixed, with major indices paring or ceding initial gains, though shares in put-upon sectors including oil and commodities have staged a modest rebound. In Frankfurt BASF falls after announcing that itself and Gazprom have agreed to tear up a November deal that would have allowed the Germany company to exit a low-margin trading business. But in Paris investors say “tres bien” to IT services provider Atos’ $1.05 billion deal for the IT outsourcing operations of Xerox Corp. (XRX), which will make the U.S. the French company’s largest market.
